Michigan Gas & Energy Deregulation

Do you remember back when there was only one phone service? If you are of the younger generation you may not but if you are older than dirt like myself then you remember that the only phone service provider was AT&T. Then there was deregulation in the phone service which allowed competition. Meaning deregulation open the door for people to choose other service providers like MCI, SBC and many others smaller service providers to compete with AT&T.

Now the door has opened for other smaller gas and energy companies to compete with Consumers Energy in Michigan. This is huge! The consumer can now choose an alternate gas and energy suppliers.

This doesn't change where the gas will come from. The energy will still be regulated by the state and the local utility company will still deliver their energy service through their wires and pipes. The customers will just have the benefit of competitive pricing.

If you're tired of getting hit with high energy prices through the utility company you no longer have to. You are now able to shop for competitive pricing with alternate energy companies.
